Traffic regulations
I. TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS DURING ADVENT
From November 29, 2023 to January 7, 2024 traffic will be closed:
- workdays Monday to Thursday, 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM for all vehicles except trams and resident vehicles on west and east side of the Nikola Šubić Square from the corner of Đorđićeva Street and Praška Street. The traffic through Berislavićeva Street from Gajeva Street to Zrinjevac will be two-way for residents, and taxi will be allowed through Gajeva Street to Berislavićeva Street and in the direction of Preradovićeva Street;
- on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 5:00 PM to 0:00 AM traffic will be closed for all vehicles on the west and east side of the Nikola Šubić Zrinski Square to the corner with Đorđićeva Street, through Praška, west side of Josip Juraj Strossmayer Square, and the west side of the King Tomislav Square in the part from Teslina Street to Mihanovićeva Street. Traffic through Katančićeva Street from Gajeva Street to Josip Juraj Strossmayer Square will be two-way for residents, taxi will be allowed through Gajeva Street to Berislavićeva Street and in the direction to Preradovićeva Street;
- on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 5:00 PM to 0:00 AM traffic will be closed for all vehicles except residents in Gajeva Street from Hebrangova to Teslina Street, in Berislavićeva Street from Preradovićeva Street to Gajeva Street, in Teslina Street and on the north side of the Nikola Šubić Zrinski Square;
- on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM trams will not run from Ban Jelačić Square to the Central Station and back.
Motor vehicle traffic through the northern Green Wave Boškovićeva-Hebrangova Street heading west, and the southern Green Wave Barun Trenk-Pavao Hatz Street heading east will run without restrictions.
II. SIGHTSEEING AND OTHER BUSES DURING ADVENT
From November 29, 2023 to January 7, 2024. Sightseeing buses will not be able to enter restricted traffic zones during restrictions from the item I., but will be able to run only straight through the Green Wave. From November 25, 2023 to January 9, 2023, ZET bus line number 150 Tuškanac - Upper Town - Ilirski Square - Ban Jelačić Square will be ending on Ilirski Square.
III. TAXI POINTS AND TAXI TRAFFIC
From November 29, 2023 to January 7, 2024. outside the time period defined in section I. taxi traffic will run as usual, and during the restriction period defined in the section I. taxi vehicles will not be able to run in the defined zone.
Also, during the restriction period defined in the section I. the taxi stop Vlaška - Europski Square will be moved to the east side of Kurelčeva Street with the entrance from Jurišićeva Street and the exit with the u-turn by the “Ban Center” garage in the direction to Jurišićeva and Palmotićeva Street. This will run with heavy police surveillance.
During restrictions listed in section I., taxi point Starčevićev Square will run as usual, but the entrance and exit will be only in the direction of Mihanovićeva and Gajeva Street. Taxi point Preradovićeva will also run as usual, and the taxi vehicles that wait will have to be parked within the taxi point.
IV. BAN CENTER GARAGE IN KURELČEVA STREET
From November 29, 2023 to January 7, 2024, the clients of the „Ban Center“ garage will be arriving via Palmotićeva – Jurišićeva – Kurelčeva Street – garage entrance and will be leaving via the same route back.
